Welcome to [community profile] ultraverse!

[community profile] ultraverse was created in hopes of providing a centralized, multi-platform community with more variety and flexibility in rp for muses wanting more options for interaction.

claiming & contact )

It is important to note that for the first month there will be no activity check so everyone is able to settle in. We will make a post in the mod account in the near future asking for public discussion concerning experimental activity options.

This is mostly a question for vocalist since the rest of the band has their instrument to play with....how many of you are actually dancers? I was looking back at old PVs and even recent one and...well...I am definitely a vocalist who flails. Though with our type of music I'm also a bouncer. Live wise it's a bit better cause at least you can interact with your bandmates and the fans.

Tell me your dance tales.

Have you ever thought back to the reasons why you were drawn to music? Especially those of us who are in visual kei. I once said in an interview

"I think Visual kei is the kind of music that people with
complexes, or people with wounded hearts listen to.
I think that way cuz that's how I am."

I didn't have an easy childhood and even into adult life I made a lot of mistakes. Even in my old band all I did was try to selfishly do my own thing and express all my anger and sorrow in my songs. It wasn't till Junchan asked me to start DOG did I start turning my life around. Even with fame and fortune you can still be sad, lonely and afraid. That's why I'm thankful for having the band. Our fans feel these emotions too and it's nice to know you aren't alone.

I'm gonna end up rambling about how music has helped me but I wanna know how it's helped you guys.

I'm currently touring in Europe and find myself lacking ways to keep myself entertained. We go out to explore and eat but between locations I’m restless on the bus.

So when you are taking a trip or whatever it may be, how do you pass the time?

Give me some good ideas.

I'm sure all of you are playing the game of virtual cat lady. What kind of goals have you been setting while playing? I'm currently trying to get pizza cats and mountaineer cat. They are visiting but I keep missing them for a picture...I feel like I'm playing Pokemon Snap....

Before my current mission I was trying to get the special cats I had caught to give me gifts. So far I think I had Prince cat and Baseball cat leave me gifts. The other strays have been leaving gifts too but..special cats..I also hate fat cat. SHARE WITH OTHERS!

Tell me your thoughts, stories or theories for this strangely addicting game.

Hello everyone! I've been having such a good time participating in Sound Horizon's new shows, I just have to gush a bit!

I've not done any acting beyond PVs, and I've never performed in front of such large crowds before, so those were the first big challenges. Then of course there's the tech issues and wardrobe malfunctions to sort out... I never realized that bigger casts have more problems! Duh!

My character is sort of ambiguous, I guess. She's a dreamer, but she's got grit. She's attractive, but dangerous. Is she weak or is she strong? And then there's the question of her sexuality, fufufu... But the cool thing about the story and the fans is that there are so many interpretations! I've heard a lot from different fan reports and they are very diligent in noticing small details.

Such as me tripping over my dress...

I guess I don't have anything to ask you good people... maybe something like... if you had a chance to team up with another band or project, what would it be and what would you do? With Light Bringer disbanded, I'm likely to partner up with more projects here and there, and I hope I can continue to make my dreams come true!

Have you guys heard of this hilarious cartoon called Usavich? It's about these two rabbits who are sharing a jail cell and the first season focuses on that. I've been a fan of it for a long time now and even used a Kirenenko plush in one of our early photo shoots. I think its up to probably season 6 or 7 now but I wanted to share the first with you guys. It's a bunch of shorts so in total its like 20ish mins. Maybe you'll become a fan? There's no words so you can sit back and laugh without having to think.

Now its time to catch up on everyone else posts...

it really irritates me when people say 'oh, i dont have the time for that' in response to something that you tell them that you do. like... you do have the time, you just choose not to make it. today, yet again, i was at the doctor for rays. and today the receptionist decided to tell me that she likes my makeup, i have pretty skin, whatever, and asks me about my skincare regimen. i am more than happy to tell her all about it, and then what kinds of makeup i use, when she asks. and her response was 'i dont have time for that'.

like... what ? i dont have a job that i go to ? i mean, currently, i am on strict orders for nothing. which have been lifted to slightly less nothing, but still. i had to be there at 9am and it's a 45 minute ride on the train from Yokohama. so, i got up at 630am. i make it a habit to get up at least an hour and a half before i need to leave the house, because i make time to do these things. they arent any more optional to me than putting on proper clothes to leave the house in. wash and moisturize and base and powder and this and that and blahblahblah.

i get, like, having too many things to do. you have work and then this and then that and sorry, i dont have time for drinks today, what about thursday? or whatever.

i have 24 hours in my day.
she has 24 hours in her day.
you have 24 hours in your day.

i get that we have different lives. i get that sometimes some of my friends are just getting to bed when i get up in the mornings, when i have to be up extra early. but its still 24 hours. no more, no less. and we make do.

your time is yours to do with what you want.
and i dont think enough people realize that thats the actual truth of the matter.

I've been thinking a lot on the idea of contentment. Not necessarily happiness, but simple contentment. When everything is pretty damn okay. It's not the absolute best it could be, but it's certainly not shit. However, contentment has always been something very disdainful to me.

I wrote something in my journal the other day - "For a long time, breaking things so I could fix them again in the manner that suited me best was the only way I knew how to be happy." - and, despite how I feel these days, I still feel like this also holds true. I've been struggling a bit with it; what it means that I feel content now, but that I still want to shake things up as often as possible. Is that a testament to a volatile personality or just a person who's too distrustful of natural evolution to let it take hold?

But I didn't bring this here to talk about me, I was just using me as an example. This is something I've talked about with other people, to varying degrees, for years, now. I'd like to know your opinions.

How do you feel about contentment? Is it the goal you strive for, is it to be avoided at all costs, or is there a good middle ground in-between that maybe some of us are just blind to? Is it the death nail, or just the next step on the journey?

I've been doing this new thing on Twitter in which I ask questions to get people to be active and discover things about each other. Figured it would be good to do the same here every so often. So.

Where is your favorite place to go on a weekday afternoon when you have no plans or obligations?

Some of my favorite things:
Sessions with this guy (CUTT), acoustic guitar, and hide tribute cover songs.

There has been a lot of collaboration between us.

It's been an honor.

I've been pretty terrible at ever making a post on here for everyone with an exception to my claim w. I figured it was about time!

I'm not an early morning person, but I do enjoy the mornings. I have my morning routine just like everyone does. I always find my favorite part is when I get outside and take my dog, Piku, for a walk. It's a great way to start (and even lets me stop at Starbucks most mornings.) It's even better now that the weather is getting a little less bitter~

So, my question to you all is what is your favorite part of your morning routine? Or afternoon routine if you are a late sleeper!

Greetings.

I have come out of my cave to join this merry gathering. It's been a long while, I admit, but I'm looking forward to shaking off all this dust. w

I'm Taka, vocals for a band known as defspiral. You might have known us before as The Underneath. Even before that as Transtic Nerve. We like to keep people on their toes, though the current name has stuck for a while. I also have a solo project called Montage., which sees me keeping extra busy.

This is my blog, obviously.

I have recently made the decision to move. I've been searching online for a new place, but I don't really have anything specific in mind, which actually makes it more difficult to find anything. There will always be something wrong with every apartment out there... until I stop being so picky. It's like "Hey do you want to go out to eat?" "Yes!" "Where?" "I don't care..." "Chinese?" "No..." "Sushi?" "No..." "Italian?" etc etc...

I'm staring at a blank piece of paper now on which I intended to write me deal makers and deal breakers. So far, nothing. So I thought I'd just pick your collective brain for ideas. We all have our "creature comforts" such as large bathroom, wide closets, nice views... What is something you could never live somewhere without?

Think think! And wish me luck!

It's time!

I have been putting off making my first post for a long time now, and I still haven't thought of anything particularly good to post, so here's me just winging it!

I guess we can talk about my clumsiness. I wouldn't exactly say I am accident-prone, but I do have the tendency to walk into things or drop whatever I'm holding onto my foot. Luckily, I haven't been seriously injured so far, though there was that near tumble from the stage...

Since everyone seems to be asking questions, I invite you to share some of your most ridiculous accidents and happenings. We will laugh with you, not at you. Though it is kind of human nature to find humor in people falling down, right? I can't be the only one!!

Please share!

I'm currently in the middle of designing some new merch and products for my band, and I ended up accidentally losing an entire design folder on my computer. It was a fucking mess and release had to be pushed back because of it, and I felt like an asshole. But I pressed on and re-designed everything and ended up very happy with the results. A good sort of satisfaction. I don't often get frustrated when I'm designing.

However, writing music is a different animal. I feel I'm very lacking when it comes to music [but I suppose when you're in a band with Yuh, you're going to feel inadequate musically.] It takes me four or five times longer than anyone else to compose anything, and my guitar is fairly standard at best. I remember spending a good portion of the entirety of 2012 fighting with Tohya about it. Honestly, I got into music to be a vocalist but I'm a fucking terrible front-man. So everything people would usually associate with being in a band, I don't feel so comfortable with. It's the behind the scenes stuff that gives me the most joy. Designing our album covers, graphics, costumes, stage sets, and even some of our PVs.

I love to draw. When I was a kid I wanted to be a mangaka, and I would go to work with my father who let me draw under his desk using his good pencils. I also have a lot of passion for cooking. I like to feed people. Every damn behind the scenes video of us has me slaving over a stove while the rest of my bandmate idiots lay around talking shit.

Anyway. My question is, if you weren't doing whatever it is you're doing right now, in an ideal world, what would you be doing? What are you passionate about?

When I was handed the invitation by my beloved to join this community, my first initial response was to be wary. Change is not something I handle well due to my personality traits, but what eventually convinced me to give it a shot was the similarity of how things always used to be. I lurked on Tumblr, and I lurked even more on Twitter, with just a random tweet every week or month to show the world I was still alive, but it never quite felt like home. Not like how things were on livejournal. I am not expecting things to be exactly the same, but what's bred in the bone, will come out in the flesh. And honestly, I disliked T&T on their own.

I am Ruki, vocalist of The Gazette. For aesthetic purposes, nowadays I prefer capital letters when introducing the pseudonym and band. But, not today. I remember how these ads were supposed to be creative because otherwise they would be ignored with such ease. Introducing myself is something I find to be quite difficult because the view I have of myself will be different from how you perceive or will perceive me. But, I am honest and will answer to most curiosity without hesitation.

Don't hesitate to get in touch: I am always up for random conversation, discussions and for expanding my horizon.
